When you take lessons from me you will learn and love playing music!

My teaching method with each student revolves around four key areas; technique/performance, sight-reading, music theory, and learning songs you love. Each student has unique goals and abilities so I listen closely to each student to craft a unique lesson plan and practice regimen for them. I have a number of different method books I enjoy teaching from. Each week, as the student progresses through the lessons and deepens their understanding of the instrument, I help guide them through challenging concepts and technical hurdles in an encouraging and engaging way.

My experience.  Taking private lessons as as a student for years and working with teachers with many different teaching styles has helped me to create my own unique teaching style. Playing over 1,000 public performances since 2016 has given me a deep understanding of performance and the technical requirements to become a professional guitarist. As a private piano and guitar instructor, having served over 60 students, I have perfected my teaching methods to keep my students engaged and moving forward.
